City makes emergency payments
A worker’s compensation payment and authorization to advertise a vacant position were subjects of a special city council meeting Thursday for emergency payments.
The council unanimously approved a payment of $8,082 to Kansas Insurance Trust for workman’s compensation.
Council also approved expenditure of funds to advertise immediately for applicants to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of city worker Todd Woodruff, who submitted his written resignation on February 27.
“It’s imperative that we find someone as soon as possible,” Mayor Larry Larsen said.
