Church collecting items for Haiti

Burns United Methodist Church will be assembling “health kits” to send to Haiti as part of relief efforts to earthquake victims.

Each health kit will include a hand towel, washcloth, large comb, nail file or fingernail clipper, bar of soap, toothbrush, and a package of six adhesive strip sterile bandages in sealed, one-gallon bags.

Items may be dropped off at Burns Hardware, Flint Hills Junction, Sticks and Twigs, and Community National Bank during regular business hours or at Burns United Methodist Church 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today and Sunday morning.

Monetary donations will also be accepted. All items must be received by Feb. 6.
