Alfred Lee “Chub” Pinkston, 98, died April 22, at his home in Cedar Point.
Born Jan. 29, 1913, on the family farm near Cedar Point, to Levi and Ethel (Houghton) Pinkston, he graduated from Cedar Point High School and attended a year at Emporia State University.
He married Lucille Imogene Carrier on March 26, 1940, in Wichita. She preceded him in death Feb. 21, 2005 as did his parents; six brothers, “Bud,” “Cobby,” “Tack,” John, Ralph, and “Red;” three sisters, Katherine Sharri, Mayme Smith, and Josie Foushee; and a great-granddaughter, Sierra Pinkston.
Survivors include two sons, Gary of Cedar Point and Thomas of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A service was Monday at Cedar Point Community Church. The Rev. George Lespagnard officiated.
Burial followed in the Cedar Point Cemetery near Cedar Point.
