Cheryl A. Steward, 70, died Dec. 16 in Wichita.

There will be a private service at a later date.

She was born Dec. 2, 1946, to Fredrick and Sarah (Martindale) Hill in El Dorado. She attended school in Leon.

She married Roger Steward Aug. 6, 1962. They moved to Florence in 1969, where she worked as a waitress at Town and Country Café and at Florence Hardware.

She was preceded in death by brothers Raymond, Gerald, and William, and sisters Doreen, Mary, and Frances.

She is survived by husband, Roger; sons, Scott of Marion and Eric of Manhattan; daughters, Cindy Becker of El Dorado, Susan Robinson of Florence, and Christi Sigel of Marion; brothers, Sam Hill of Mariposa, California, and Jim Hill of Minnesota; sisters, Virginia West and Sue Hill, both of El Dorado, and Rosalie Hatfield of Belle Plaine; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Florence Library or Marion Recreation baseball and softball program in lieu of flowers.
