Charlene Faye Garcia of Hutchinson died May 4, 2010, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.

Born Sept. 14, 1962, in Marion, to Michael R. and Frances Irene (Saenz) Martinez, she attended Peabody schools.

She was employed on assembly by HUBCO of Hutchinson.

She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of South Hutchinson.

She married Jose Manuel Garcia Dec. 11, 1981, in Hutchinson.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosalinda Garcia, of the home; her mother, Frances Martinez, of Peabody; two brothers, David and Paul of Newton; three sisters, Paula Harris, Rebecca Rablin, and Sarah Sears of Peabody; granddaughter, Lorena Micaela Garcia, of the home; and her grandmother, Sarah Saenz of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her father, son Jesus Manuel “Boogie”, daughter Jessica Garcia, and granddaughter Aubrianna Michelle Garcia.

Services were 10 a.m. May 7 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Revs. Brian Nelson and Nicholas Voelker officiating.

Burial was in Fairlawn Burial Park.

A parish rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. May 6 at the church.

A memorial fund has been established with the American Diabetes Association in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N Main St, Hutchinson KS 67501.
