CENTRE: Centre track fields 21
Staff writer
Spring break plus inclement weather has prevented the Centre track team from practicing much outdoors. Twenty-one students are on the roster.
Which events individual members will participate in is still being decided, coach Sherri Hudson said.
“We have a good mix of throwers, jumpers, long-distance runners, and sprinters,” she said. “Hopefully, this week will give us more opportunities to practice on the track and in the grass.”
Carly Deines and Luke Hudson are the only two seniors on the team, and Anthony Rziha is the only junior.
Sophomores include Mariah Brasch, Sarah David, Destiny Howe, Riley Janow, Nick Krch, Addie Makovec, Jenaya Plett, Emilee Remmers, Allie Stuchlik, Colby Janow, Michelle Brasch, Gentri Holub, and Michael Herrera.
Freshmen are Kaitlynn Bina, Andy Madron, Shae Marshall, Robert Spohn, and Ja’Quin Smith.
Hudson is assisted by Phil Duerksen. Sophomore Kenide Steiner is manager.
The first meet will be Tuesday at Halstead.
