Centre boys look to rebuild

Centre heads into this season with only one returning senior starter, Matthew Basore. The Cougars’ are looking to rebuild after graduating five seniors from last year’s team.

Overall, seven players are returning along with seven newcomers. Returning players are Daniel Rziha, Robert Spohn, Karson Kroupa, Gentri Holub, Santiago Knepp, and Nicholas Krch.

Newcomers are Blaze Kitzmiller, Kaden Hutchison, JaQuin Smith, Anthony Potocnik, Michael Herrera, Riley Janow, and Dane Meier.

Centre will open the season Friday at home against Wakefield.

“We look forward to improving each day and are excited to help to form these players on and off court,” coach Richard Idleman said. “We will have a tough schedule this year, playing in a competitive league as well as playing a very competitive non-league schedule.”
