Andrew and Melissa Methvin of Peabody are the proud parents of a baby boy, Carson Redding Methvin, born Feb. 2 in Newton.

He weighed 7 pounds 6.8 ounces, and was 20 ½ inches long.

His sister, Jessica, 5, and brother, Dean, 3, welcomed Carson home.

His paternal grandparents are Jack and Nancy Methvin of Lincolnville. Ken and Cynthia Hunt of Tulsa, Oklahoma, are his maternal grandparents.
