Carolyn C. Brooks, 74, died Friday at Hillsboro.

She was born July 30, 1937, in Johnstown, N.Y., and grew up in New York and California. She was a homemaker and lived with her daughter in Lincolnville since 1996.

Survivors include her former husband, Roger Brooks of Simi Valley, Calif.; a son, Bill, of Kirkland, Wash.; two daughters, Karen Selznick of Lincolnville and Jackie Brooks of Hillsboro; a sister, Robin Winter, of California; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and close friends Steve and Michelle Bolin of Yoncalla, Ore.

A funeral service took place Tuesday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion, and internment was at Lincolnville Cemetery. A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
