Car show set
for Saturday at lake

Events also include chili cookoff, corn hole tournament

Free registration for Marion County Park and Lake’s annual car show begins at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The show itself — featuring cars, trucks, motorcycles, and beater vehicles — starts at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for best in class.

The show is part of a full day of activities at the lake.

A chili cookoff starts at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 2:30 p.m. in the lake hall.

The entry fee to compete is $15. Tasting kits are $5.

A corn hole tournament will start after the cookoff. Cost will be $10 per person or $20 per team.

Money raised by the events will go toward lake improvements. Adding solar lights in places where there’s not electricity is a priority.
