1 to 4 p.m. — Retirement reception for Stephanie Lago, Peabody City Building.

SATURDAY

New Year’s Eve.

5:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. — Cheers to the New Year event, Marion VFW, Marion. Gulf War veterans eat free.

7 p.m. to 1 a.m. — New Year’s Eve at the HUB youth center for students, Peabody. Middle school students must leave by 10 p.m.

SUNDAY

New Year’s Day.

2 to 5 p.m. — Open gym, Hillsboro High School gymnasium.

MONDAY

Marion, Hillsboro, and Peabody senior centers closed for holiday.

TUESDAY

Classes resume for Centre and Goessel.

No school for Hillsboro, Marion, and Peabody-Burns; staff development days.
