Thursday
FFA annual Chili Cook-off and Labor Auction. Chili Cook-off begins at 6 p.m. in the Vocational Agriculture room. Everyone is welcome to compete for $40 first prize and $20 second prize. Bring chili 15 minutes before it is to be judged. Labor Auction will follow selling labor by middle and high school FFA members.
Friday
February brunch at 9:30 a.m. at Peabody Senior Center. Reservations required by calling (620) 983-2226. Enjoy breakfast casserole, cinnamon roll or blueberry muffin, juice.
FFA Petting Zoo from 1 to 3 p.m. at PBES playground. Open to the community and students. Come see and learn about the petting zoo animals.
Monday
Registration deadline for the final Peabody-Burns Recreation Commission winter event trip March 5 to Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita to see “Disney on Ice — Treasure Trove.” Admission is $20 per person, children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult. No charge for transportation. Bus leaves PBHS at 9:30 a.m. and returns at approximately 2 p.m.
Peabody City Council, 7 p.m. at city hall.
Wednesday
Lenten devotions will be offered by Rodger Charles of Peabody First Baptist Church after the noon meal.
USD 398 district curriculum meeting at 3:40 p.m. at the central office.
