Thursday

The city of Peabody will auction the residence at 215 E. Division St. and seven empty lots in the city at 7 p.m. All properties will sell at the 215 E. Division St. site.

Friday

Peabody-Burns Recreation Commission will sponsor a family swim night from 5 to 8 p.m. at Peabody pool. At least one parent, legal guardian, or grandparent must remain with participating children.

Beat the heat at Peabody Senior Center’s Indoor Picnic lunch at 11:45 a.m. Reservations are required by Thursday evening by calling (620) 982-2226. Menu is chicken salad sandwich, baked beans, potato salad, and dessert.

Monday

Free lunch program continues from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in the multipurpose room at PBES. Any child up to age18 may participate.

Peabody Vacation Bible School at Peabody United Methodist Church begins at 8:45 a.m. and lasts until 11:15 a.m. Monday through Friday. Children will present a program for parents and community members at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

USD 398 Board of Education meeting, 7 p.m., Central Office.

Wednesday

Dr. Randy Whitely will join Peabody Senior Center members for lunch, followed by a presentation about health issues for seniors. Reservations required for the meal, but not Dr. Whitely’s talk.
