Burns correspondent
Sixteen senior citizens and friends gathered May 13 at the Burns Community Building for their monthly meeting.
Beverly Morgan gave the invocation and members saluted the flag. A potluck meal was shared by all.
A short business meeting was conducted with the reading of the minutes and a treasurer’s report, both of which were approved. There was no new or old business to discuss so President Lowell Larsen adjourned the meeting.
Mary Glenn had the program. She told of her experiences working for the refinery in El Dorado for 29 years. She has also worked with the Burns Pride committee and done a lot of volunteer work.
Rick Grace will be the speaker at the next gathering.
