Walter Koehn of Lobelville, Tenn., brother of Vernon Koehn, spent two weeks visiting Vernon and Judy and other relatives. They went to Oklahoma on Jan. 2 and visited relatives of their mother. Walter returned to Tennessee on Jan. 4.
On Dec. 27, Walter, Vernon, Judy, and Nathan Koehn and Bob and Yvonne Koehn were supper guests of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie and Carolee. On Jan. 1, Carolee left for Pennsylvania, where she is a teacher.
Post-Christmas was celebrated at the home of Vernon and Judy Koehn on Dec. 31. Guests were Walter, Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie and Carolee; Luana Isaac; Rose Forgy, Ryan and Melissa; and Janarro Jantz, Kaylee, Shawna, and Jesse.
New Year’s weekend guests of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale were Mitch and Cathy Foote and Brad and Diane Nightengale, Roger, Laura, and Casey.
Josh and Ashley Wiebe, Seth and Faith, joined other family members at the home of Gary and Monica Thiessen the afternoon and evening of Jan. 1, for a post-Christmas celebration. On Jan. 2, they joined Wiebe relatives at the home of Richard and Margaret Wiebe.
Lawrence and Lois Sayers and Sandy Sayers shopped in Newton on Dec. 31.
Bruce Sayers was a dinner guest of his parents, Lawrence and Lois Sayers on New Year’s Day.
Gloria Handle and Marie Clark met Jen Stucky and Peggy Van der Weg in Newton Dec. 28 and went to Wichita to visit Joyce Barker, who has been moved to a Family Rehabilitation and Health Center on Maize Road. She is showing some improvement. Hadlye Clark went with them.
On Dec. 30, Marie Clark accompanied Gloria Handle to Wichita and enjoyed a belated Christmas gathering for the Handle family.
Mary Langenegger and Joyce Kyle went to Newton on Dec. 28 to visit Kathleen Brenzikofer at Newton Medical Center. She has since returned to Kansas Christian Home. They also called on Fred Langenegger, who had knee replacement surgery.
A burial service for Wilma Stucky was Jan. 2 at the First Mennonite Church Cemetery.
