Burns correspondent
Joyce Barker of Wichita, formerly of Burns, suffered a stroke Nov. 27. She was at St. Francis and has been moved to Wesley Rehabilitation Center.
Peggy Van der Weg took her mother, Marie Clark, to Wichita to see Joyce, Marie’s sister-in-law Dec. 1. Marie spent the night with the Van der Wegs. The next day she visited her daughter, Jen Stucky, and then returned home.
Marvin and Sherol Nightengale went to Wichita to call on her sister, Joyce, on Dec. 4.
Sandy Sayers visited her parents, Lawrence and Lois Sayers, the afternoon of Dec. 4. Lawrence and Lois took dinner to Bruce and daughter, Megan, the same day. Bruce is doing better and has gone back to work.
Bonnie Plummer and Hayley Bidwell had dinner Dec. 5 in El Dorado, celebrating birthdays.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines went Dec. 5 to Madison to attend the Christmas program of their granddaughter, Brooke.
Vernon Koehn went Dec. 3 to Moundridge and called on his brother Jake Koehn at Moundridge Manor and another brother and wife, Harvey and Erma Koehn at Moundridge Memorial.
Joyce Kyle and Mary Langenegger went Dec. 2 to Newton and called on Frank and Rosalie Heath, Kathleen Brenzikofer, and Jack and Vera Sprague, all at Kansas Christian Home.
