Weekend guests of Marvin and Sherol Nightengale were Mitch and Cathy Foote of Manhattan and Brad and Diane Nightengale, Laura, and Casey of El Dorado.
Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie and Carolee helped Dalen and Beth Koehn work some cattle on May 11 and were lunch guests.
Bruce Sayers, Megan, Jessica, and Sandy Sayers took Lois and Lawrence to Newton the evening of May 11 to celebrate Mother’s Day.
The afternoon of May 12, Sandy Sayers and Lawrence and Lois Sayers went shopping in Wichita.
Martin and Peg Van der Weg arrived at the home of Marie Clark on May 12 and took her to the home of Darby and Kiley McCord in Newton for a Mother’s Day celebration with family. Jennifer Stucky and Clint and Missy Green and family joined them. The Van der Wegs and Jenn brought Marie home. The evening of May 13, she attended the 8th grade graduation for Holton Nelson at Flint Hills High School. She was an overnight guest of Larry and Dianne Nelson.
Nancy Davis of Florisant, Colo., was a May 10 afternoon visitor of Joyce Kyle. Rose Forgy and Ryan visited that evening.
The men of Burns United Methodist Church served a Mother’s Day breakfast to the women of the church on May 12 and the meal was very good.
