Michael and Pamela Garcia of Newton announce the birth of a son, Xavier Marcelo Garcia, June 29 at Newton Medical Center.

He weighed 8 pounds and was 21 inches long.

His sister, Janessa, 2, welcomed him home.

Dwight and Jerrie Kruse of Marion and Gerald and Stela Perry of Wichita are his grandparents.

Yolanda Garcia of Newton is his great-grandmother.
