Joe and Toshia Widener of Gardner announce the birth of a son, Joshua Paul Widener, at 2:09 p.m. March 28.

He weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

His sister, Emily Kay Widener, 19 months, welcomed him home.

Junior and Clydene Widener of Stockton, Ron Bezdek of Abilene, and Michelle Kersten of Hillsboro are his grandparents.

Isabella Bezdek and Ella Dick of Hillsboro are his great-grandmothers.
