Jacob Earl Tharp

Dave and Carla Tharp of rural Peabody announce the birth of a son, Jacob Earl Tharp, at 2:18 p.m. Oct. 20, 2008, at Newton Medical Center.

He weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and was 20½ inches long.

Grandparents are Greg and Linda Carlson and Blair and Nancy Tharp, all of Marion.

Great-grandparents are Gary and Shirley Carlson of Marion; Bill and Edna Robinson of Florence; Dalene Tharp and Louise Wood, both of Marion.
