The population of Goessel will nearly triple for a night when more than 900 bicyclists ride into town on June 10 as part of Bike Across Kansas.

Cyclists will stay overnight on gymnasium and classroom floors. Some will camp on green areas around schools.

The city says the bicyclists could spend $20,000 on food alone during their overnight stay.

The group will leave Goessel the morning of June 11, passing through Hillsboro and Marion.
