Anglers caught 56 pounds of fish in the Craig White Memorial Fishing Tournament Saturday at Peabody Country Club. The tournament attracted 29 teams.
The smallest catfish was caught by Steve Edwards of Spring, Texas, and Danny Edwards of Bartlesville, Okla., and weighed .132 pounds.
Jerry Foth and Cory Foth reeled in the largest catch of the day at 9.62 pounds. They also won the first-place plaque with a total catch of 14.33 pounds
Eight catfish were caught by Bryan Dachow and Terry Hankins of Newton. They placed second with 11.155 pounds of fish caught. Nolan Hurst placed third with a total catch of 10.714 pounds.
Money raised by the tournament will be used to help people suffering personal hardships during the year.
