Betty I. Duerksen, 80, of Hillsboro died May 7, 2012, in Hillsboro. She was born Sept. 20, 1931, in Peabody to Bert and Viola (Honn) Fox. She was a restaurateur.

She married Clarence Duerksen on June 13, 1950, in Arkansas.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Duerksen of Hillsboro; two sons, Gary Duerksen of Saraland, Ala.; and Mike Duerksen of Hillsboro; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hillsboro United Methodist Church with Pastor Morita Truman officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.
