Anonymous benefactors offer matching donations for PCF

Two individuals who wish to remain anonymous will help the Peabody Community Foundation expand its growth with the Grow II Match from the Kansas Health Foundation.

The two pooled their resources and created a fund that will match each dollar donated or pledged to the foundation, up to $20,000.

In addition, Kansas Health Foundation still is matching donations to PCF with a dollar of its own.

“This is a rare opportunity for growth,” PCF board member N.M. Patton said. “Each dollar donated becomes three dollars for the community foundation. For example, a $500 gift will result in $1,500 for the foundation.”

Contributions or pledges made by Dec. 31 will meet the match criteria. A coupon, below, can be sent or taken to Peabody State Bank with a donation or pledge.

“This is a great time to take advantage of this giving opportunity for the foundation and the community,” Patton said. “And since the PCF is a non-profit, donations are tax deductible.”
