Back-to-school blastoff is Aug. 11

Peabody-Burns students and community members will be rocketed into a new year with a back-to-school picnic from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at Peabody City Park and main pavilion.

The evening will include a hot dog meal, swimming from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Activities are free and for all ages.

The event is sponsored by Peabody-Burns school district in conjunction with the ministerial alliance and other community entities.

Representatives of various social service groups will provide information on their programs.
