Art in the Park features new items

Central Park in Marion will host its 33rd annual Art in the Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Vendors from several states will have items on sale, including things like limestone and metal art, food products, candles, clothing, jewelry, bath and body products, baby items, furniture, photography, purses, pottery, candied jalapeno peppers, and Wisconsin sausage and cheese.

New items this year include children’s rockers, tables and chairs with matching tea sets, spray paint pictures, clocks, garden art, handmade scrapbooks, items made from coils and scrolls of paper, ceramics and sculptures, necklaces, hair flowers and flip flops made of bottle caps, handmade bubble wands that make giant bubbles, and hand-blown glass.

The event also features a food court including items such as fresh bierocks, funnel cakes, barbecue, and many other options.

Marion Chamber of Commerce will give away 10 $20 gift certificates, good at any booth in the show.

A free bus service will shuttle visitors from parking lots at Marion Die and Fixture, 421 W. Main St., and the Marion Baseball Complex on Eisenhower Drive near Pizza Hut on U.S. 56.
