Area at lake to be mowed for recreational use

Workers will begin mowing an area in the northeast part of Marion Lake originally intended for recreational use.
Lake Superintendent Steve Hudson said the Civilian Conservation Core originally developed the area for visitors to play soccer or baseball.
“We’re just following up on it and continuing what their plans were,” Hudson said. “We welcome the rec league kids to come if they wish.”
