Another alumni edition

This is the newspaper issue that Peabody Main Street sends to our high school alumni and friends of Peabody several times a year. We like to keep our hometown kids and former residents informed about things that are going on in the community. Sometimes it seems there is a great deal to share and other times not so much.

This time there are some new business stories, an update on the local Main Street program since the Kansas Department of Commerce dropped its support of all Main Street cities in September, and a feature on support developing once again for the Peabody Print Museum.

In addition, the regular features like high school events, the Days of Yore, coverage of Peabody City Council and Marion County Commission meetings, columns from correspondents, and news from the social page are included as well.

We hope there is something in here that will strike a chord with you and remind you of your time in the Peabody community. As always, please let us know if you move or change your name. We want to keep you connected.

If you have a reunion coming up or have pictures from the one you just had, send us an e-mail and we will get your class in the next issue. Some members of the Peabody High School class of 1963 were in the restaurant several weeks ago planning for their 50th reunion which is coming up soon. I’m pretty sure none of them have changed a bit so watch for their class photo in a future edition!

And if you are in the area, be sure to stop by and see us. We hope you enjoy receiving the Peabody Gazette-Bulletin.
