Dinner guests at the Ammeter farm on Dec. 28 were Steve and Melody Magette of Ellsworth and Bryan and Amanda Kantuck, Bethany, Reagan, and Allison of Colorado Springs, Colo., Myron Ammeter of Manhattan, and Stan Ammeter. The Kantucks left late afternoon to go to Bryan’s folks at Clifton.
On Dec. 30, Donella Humphries came to LaVonne’s and they went to Peabody shopping. Donella spent the afternoon.
Nelsie and John Dauber visited LaVonne in the morning
Dec. 31. Stan took LaVonne to Peabody to Vern Smith’s birthday celebration at Peabody Care Center. It was a nice celebration.
LaVonne visited Opal Craney at the Center.
Blaine and Carol Ammeter arrived at the Ammeter farm later that evening to spend the night. Blaine and LaVonne saw the old year out and the New Year in.
On Jan. 1, Carol and LaVonne went to Ebenezer Church. LaVonne’s dinner guests were Blaine and Carol. Stan and a friend, Darrel, who had been hunting, joined them. Michele Hartnagel was an afternoon visitor. Blaine and Carol returned to Ellinwood in the late afternoon.
Myron Ammeter arrived the morning of Jan. 3 to pick up LaVonne and take her to Peabody Care Center for a surprise birthday lunch for Opal Craney’s 97th birthday. Sally Ammeter and grandson, Mitchell, were preparing lunch for the party in the downstairs dining room. Opal was surprised! Party guests enjoyed lasagna, salad, garlic bread, ice cream sundaes, and birthday cake.
Myron, Sally, and Mitchell took LaVonne home on their way back to Manhattan.
