On Feb. 29, Carol Ammeter called LaVonne Ammeter and told her that Blaine Ammeter had been taken to Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita with a possible heart attack.
The following day, Blaine had a heart catheterization late in the afternoon. LaVonne went to Peabody to run errands.
On March 3, Melody and Steve Magette went to Wichita to see Blaine. They reported he was not making good progress. The Magettes came to the farm to spend March 3 and 4. They brought supper, and Stan Ammeter joined them.
Melody and LaVonne went to church at Ebenezer Methodist Church on March 4. Gerald Gregerson of Northfield, Minnesota was there and they all had a nice visit. Gerald grew up in rural Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School in 1960.
After church, Stan joined LaVonne and the Magettes for lunch and Carol called from Wichita to say that Blaine had another heart catheterization and was feeling much better.
On March 5, Lois Sayers picked up LaVonne and they joined other members of the Twentieth Century Club for the March meeting at Joyce Kyle’s home. They had a good meeting and enjoyed little Hadlye Clark who was a guest.
Later in the day, Stan and John Boese came to LaVonne’s to visit. Blaine called from Wichita and said he was feeling good.
On March 6, Stan and Kevin Strotkamp came to the farm and had lunch with LaVonne. Blaine called again and said he was going home to Ellinwoood.
