On Jan. 11, B.J. Ammeter and LaVonne Ammeter went to El Dorado for a doctor’s appointment. They also did some shopping.
LaVonne and B.J. went to Marion on Jan. 13 for a dentist appointment. Afterward they went to Peabody to shop. B.J. left for Ellinwood late in the evening.
Stan Ammeter and a friend from Wichita went to the Ammeter farm the afternoon of Jan. 14. Later, Delores Bowser and Blondie Logan stopped by to visit LaVonne.
On Jan. 15, Gary Davis stopped at the Ammeter farm and took LaVonne to church at Ebenezer Methodist Church and they had dinner together. Carolyn Metz and Becky Holm of Wichita came to the farm and brought supper. Stan Ammeter joined them. They remembered that 64 years ago LaVonne and Sherwin Ammeter were married on that date.
LaVonne went to Peabody on Jan. 16 for medicine and groceries. She visited with John Boese and Dylan. She received word that her son-in-law, Steve Magette, got along well with knee replacement surgery during the day.
On Jan. 17, Stan Ammeter took LaVonne to Marion for a medical appointment. Later in the day, LaVonne’s sister, Kathryn Ireland, called from Texas and said the temperature was 81 degrees there.
