On Oct. 17, Steve and Melody Magette came to the Ammeter farm to take LaVonne Ammeter to the doctor in Marion. Afterward, they all headed to the Magettes’ home in Ellsworth where LaVonne spent a few days. Amanda and Bryan Kantock and daughters Bethany, Regan, and Allison were coming from Colorado to stay and visit until Oct. 21.
The Kantocks arrived Oct. 18. Kevin and Emily Haxton, Avery and Elyse also came for supper. Everyone had a great evening visiting and enjoying the children.
After church on Oct. 21, the Kantocks left for Colorado Springs. Steve and Melody Magette and LaVonne came back to the farm and the Magette’s spent the night.
Steve went to El Dorado on Oct. 22 and Stan came for lunch. They were busy all day doing odd jobs for LaVonne until late afternoon when Stan returned home and the Magettes left for Ellsworth.
Carolyn Holm of Wichita stopped by LaVonne’s Oct. 23 on her way home from Lucille Wyss’ funeral. Later Kathleen and Frank Marby from Valley Falls stopped by to visit.
Longtime neighbor of LaVonne’s, Blondie Logan left the neighborhood after her sale and moved to Newton.
