Melody Magette of Dodge City arrived at the Ammeter farm early evening to spend the night and be here for brother Don’s funeral.
Blaine and Carol of Ellinwood arrived Thursday morning, Pat and Kenneth Phillips came early morning, and we all went to Summit Church for the viewing and graveside services. Carolyn Holm arrived and went with us.
There were a lot of friends and relatives there. Kathyern Ireland of Newton, Chris Melson of Nebraska, and Dana Lou Melson of Nevada also came to the services. All of the above, plus Stanley, were luncheon guests of LaVonne.
Melody and I went to Marion Thursday afternoon for bedding plants and on to Hillsboro. Later we went to the cemetery to put the flags on the veteran’s graves.
B.J. and I visited Ebenezer Cemetery Thursday evening.
Nancy and Leroy Church of Kansas City, Mo., arrived at the farm late Friday afternoon to spend the night and attend a reunion. We went to Burns to eat supper at the café. We visited with Richard and Chuck Gfeller of South Carolina and Harold Gfeller of El Dorado.
Nancy, Leroy, and LaVonne took in a car show and quilt show Saturday morning in Burns. It reminded me of cars on the street Saturday night when I was in high school. We came home for lunch, and Carol, Blaine, and Todd arrived to attend the wedding of Mike and Trena at the Methodist church. B.J. also went with them.
Edith Spinden came to LaVonne’s early evening. Nancy, Leroy, Edith, and LaVonne went to Marion to attend the 1948, 1949, and 1950 class reunion. Nancy and Leroy spent the night with Pat and Kenneth Phillips.
Blaine and I went to church Sunday. Carol and Blaine went to Peabody to help Arlan and Vonnie cleanup at the country club.
LaVonne attended the Burns alumni reunion at the community center in Burns.
Carol and B.J. visited Don and Marjorie Monday. Todd went home Sunday evening. They left for Ellinwood late Sunday afternoon. Later in the evening, Stan visited a while.
B.J. and LaVonne went to Peabody late Tuesday afternoon and visited at Legacy Park. Michele Montgomery visited LaVonne Tuesday evening. Stan and Jim Steele also were visitors. John Boese and Dylan visited Sunday afternoon. Dylan got some cookies.
