The son, daughter-in-law, and grandson of Alvin and Anna Friesen will have a come-and-go reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The reception will be at Whitestone Mennonite Church, 629 Crescent Drive, Hesston. The family requests no gifts.

They married on Feb. 18, 1962, outside of Meade. They have resided in the Hesston area ever since. They have one son, Marc and wife Sarah of Newton, and one grandson, Luke.
