Former Tabor College professor Allen G. Hiebert, 75, died Monday at Comfort Care Homes in Newton.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Family will receive guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Hearth Room at the church.

He was born Oct. 17, 1941, to Albert H. and Helen (Ensz) Hiebert in Goessel. He married Lois Frantz on May 25, 1963, in Hillsboro.

Survivors include: wife, Lois Hiebert of Hillsboro; son, Mark Hiebert of Whitewater, Wisconsin; daughter, Julie Unruh of Haven; brother, Ron Hiebert of Hillsboro; sisters, Aldene Schneider of Fountain Run, Kentucky, and Joyce Funk of Topeka; and five grandchildren.

Memorials have been established for Mennonite Central Committee and Tabor College Fine Arts Center.
