Algae advisory dropped for Reservoir
Staff writer
For the first time since June 14, the Marion Reservoir is without a blue-green algae warning or advisory.
All water activity, including direct contact such as swimming, is safe and encouraged.
The advisory from last week was lifted due to extensive rains received before sampling Monday.
“Weekly testing will not be conducted on the lake until the lake officials call for another test due to a possible bloom,” Ron Kaufman director of information services for Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism said.
