The following accidents were reported to Marion County law enforcement agencies:

U.S.-77 near milemarker 95:

Nancy M. Armour, 30, Manhattan, was northbound on U.S.-77 near milemarker 95 in a 2006 Pontiac G6 passenger car at 8:10 p.m. Aug. 6, when a deer ran on the roadway and was struck. Conner Armour, 2, of the same address, was a passenger. Marion County Sheriff Deputy Jim Philpott reported the driver and passenger were not injured and there was more than $1,000 in damages.

U.S.-77 near 320th Road:

Matthew S. McIntosh, 30, Wichita, was northbound on U.S.-77 near 320th Road in a 2004 Chevrolet Impala at 10:23 a.m. Aug. 7, and ran into the rear of a 2007 Mack truck, driven by Kirk E. Keller, 49, Wapello, Iowa. A passenger in the car, Charla Laramie, 29, Arkansas City, was injured and transported to St. Luke Hospital by Marion EMS. According to a report filed by Marion County Sheriff Deputy Travis Wilson, the Impala was traveling at more than 100 mph at the time of the crash. The truck was registered to CMA Services Inc. of Mediapolis, Iowa.

K-15 near 300th Road:

Jackie B. Davis, 25, 3275 Quail Creek Road, Ramona, was northbound on K-15 in a 1993 Cadillac passenger car at 12:01 am. Aug. 10, when the car left the road on the right, returned to the road, then slid sideways through a ditch and barbed wire fence. The driver then attempted to drive away but got stuck and then left the scene, reported Marion County Sheriff Deputy Duane McCarty.
