These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-50 west of Wagon Wheel Rd.

Linza D. Williams, 27, Emporia, hit a deer at 11:22 p.m. March 9 with his 2013 Buick LaCrosse.

The car sustained disabling damage to its front third and undercarriage and was towed, according to one of three accident reports released Friday.

Kanza Rd. north of 240th Rd.

A report released Friday offered no explanation for an accident at 2:56 a.m. March 10 in which Ryan K. Wong, 36, Great Bend, suffered possible injuries but was not taken to a hospital.

According to deputy Austin Spencer’s report, Wong drove a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 off the road to the right, into the right ditch, through a yard, back onto the road, then off the road to the left and into the left ditch.

The truck, owned by Raymond F. Wong of the same Great Bend address, was listed as destroyed with damage to its front third, undercarriage, and rear.

No tickets were listed as being issued.

US-77 south of 140th Rd.

Lisa K. Jacobson, 62, Florence, rear-ended a 2015 Ford Edge that had slowed at 6:09 a.m. March 14 because of a different accident, a report of which has not been released.

Jacobson’s 2018 Jeep Cherokee sustained disabling damage to its front third, windshield, and undercarriage. Air bags deployed, and the car was towed.

The Ford, owned and driven by Stella G. Haartz, 23, Wellington, remained drivable with damage to its rear third. Zayla M. Tunnell of the same address but whose age was redacted from the open, public report of the wreck was a passenger.

Deputy Bruce Burke blamed the wreck on inattentive driving by Jacobson, but no tickets were listed as being issued.

MARION

100 block of S. Lincoln St.

Louis W. Wegerer, 70, rural Marion, was ticketed for leaving the scene of an accident after allegedly backed his 2015 Ford Flex out of a Performing Arts Center parking space around 9 p.m. March 6 and into a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado legally parked across the street.

Damage to the left rear of Wegerer’s sport-utility was characterized as minor. However, more than $1,000 damage was reported to the parked pickup, owned by Frazier Inc. of Hutchinson. A loaner, it had been parked there by Michele M. Regnier, 58, rural Marion.

She and Wegerer both had attended a school performance, but Wegerer had left early with back troubles and said he was unaware he had hit the pickup.

Police matched the damage to the two vehicles eight days later.
