These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

180th Rd. near Sumac Rd.

Dalton A. Weir, 18, rural Lehigh, lost control of a 2014 Ford Fusion while attempting to avoid a deer at 9:58 p.m. June 9 and slid the car off the road to the left.

The Ford, owned by Mary A. Weir of the same address, sustained disabling damage to its front and hood and was towed.

70th Rd. near Quail Creek Rd.

Reckless, careless, or inattentive driving was blamed for Triston M. Barton, 27, Peabody, sliding his 2012 Jeep Wrangler off a muddy bridge and into Doyle Creek at 10:22 p.m. June 11.

The Jeep, which sustained disabling damage to its undercarriage, was towed.

No tickets were issued.

US-50 east of Union Rd.

Hayden J. Hartung-Williams, 17, Hesston, hit a deer at 9:41 p.m. June 13 with a 2021 Mazda 3 owned by Brian T. Folks of a different Hesston address.

Megan S. Folks, 18, of the second Hesston address was a passenger.

The car remained functional despite damage to its left front and hood.

US-50 east of Remington Rd.

Bryttan A. Adams, 18, Newton, hit a coyote at 10:31 p.m. June 13 with a 2007 Toyota Prius owned by Shanna Brenzikofer of the same address.

The car remained functional despite damage to its right front.

US-50 east of Timber Rd.

A right front tire that blew out at 11 p.m. June 13 sent a 2001 Volvo semi owned by Southwest Carrier of Cherry Valley, Illinois, off the road and into a cornfield owned by Troy A. Dawson of Cedar Point.

The semi, driven by Zoran Baljak, 39, of Cherry Valley, sustained damage to its left front and undercarriage and was towed.

Deputies were not notified until the following morning.

Sunflower Rd. near 130th Rd.

Edward L. Svitak, 55, rural Marion, hit a deer at 8:40 p.m. Thursday with 2019 Chevrolet Trax owned by Midway Motors, Hillsboro.

Damage to the right front of the subcompact sport utility vehicle was characterized as minor.

40th Rd. west of Yarrow Rd.

Christine D. Reust, 54, rural Burns, hit a deer at 6:12 a.m. Friday with her 2017 Hyundai Elantra, which sustained damage characterized as minor to its right front and hood.
