In his report, deputy Kaylan Miles does not identify the kayak owner other than to say the kayak was not missed until after the owner returned home to Hillsboro.

Spencer’s Toyota sustained what Miles described as minor damage to its front and undercarriage.

Passengers in the Toyota included Nick Spencer, 30, and Lenore Spencer, 89, both of different addresses in Lincoln, plus Pat Spencer, 66, of the same Lincoln address.

Wesley J. Shaw, 28, rural Peabody, fell asleep at 12:15 a.m. June 6 and allowed a 2012 Ford F-350 he was driving to veer off the road to the right, hitting a utility pole before stopping in a pool of surface flooding.

The truck, owned by Preheim Ag, also of rural Peabody, sustained disabling damage along its right side and undercarriage and was towed.

K-15 north of 210th Rd. (again)

Lisa M. Harbaugh, 55, Elmo, hit a deer at 5:10 a.m. Thursday with her 2018 Nissan Maxima, which sustained disabling damage to its front, windshield, and undercarriage and was towed.

HILLSBORO

200 block of W. 3rd St.

A 2016 GMC G2500 van owned by Kurtis S. Bauer was dented on its left side and running board while it was parked between 8 p.m. June 7 and 6:45 a.m. June 8 outside his residence in the 200 block of W. 3rd St.

According to officer David Funk’s report, a hit-and-run driver appeared to have struck the van while backing out of a parking space across the street from Oakwood Manor apartments.
