These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-50 east of Quail Creek Rd.

Tiffany D. Healy, 40, Halstead, hit a deer at 7 a.m. Nov. 3 with her 2013 Kia Sorento, which was towed afterward. Gavin A. Healy, 13, of the same address was a passenger at the time.

Sunflower Rd. north of 110th Rd.

Avery C. Smith, 17, Florence, hit a deer at 6:57 p.m. Nov. 3 with her 2011 Nissan Sentra.

Indigo Rd. north of 130th Rd.

A safety feature designed to correct steering when a vehicle veers out of its lane was blamed for steering a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox into the opposite ditch at 5:32 p.m. Nov. 5.

Alicia R. Higbee, 42, Hillsboro, traveled 336 feet in the ditch before hitting a guardrail with her Equinox. Christopher S. Schmidt, 30, of the same address was a passenger at the time. Both reportedly were injured, but neither was taken to a hospital.

The Equinox sustained extensive damage and was towed.

US-77 north of 270th Rd.

Samari L. Sanchez, 22, Manhattan, hit a deer at 7:15 p.m. Nov. 5 with his 2017 Nissan Sentra, which was towed afterward.

90th Rd. east of Indigo Rd.

Randall M. Eitzen, 62, rural Peabody, was taken to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, after he became ill at 7:24 p.m. Nov. 6 and drove a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado across the roadway, through a ditch and 269 feet into a field before hitting a tree.

The truck, owned by Marlene E. Eitzen of Hillsboro, sustained extensive damage and was towed.

Indigo Rd. south of 130th Rd.

Christopher J. Stucky, 47, rural Peabody, hit multiple raccoons at 10:09 p.m. Nov. 7 with his 2008 Pontiac G6.

Jade Rd. north of 190th Rd.

While turning north onto Jade Rd. at 3:16 p.m. Nov. 8, a 2012 Nissan Murano owned and driven by Lavonne R. Wiens, 88, Hillsboro, scraped the side of a southbound 2009 Volkswagen Jetta, owned and driven by Nickolas R. Hein, rural Hillsboro, who was waiting at a stop sign.

Deputy Joel J. Womochil’s report blamed the accident on improper turning and inattentive driving by Wiens, but no tickets were issued.

K-15 north of 170th Rd.

Fabiana Jost, 48, Hillsboro, hit a deer at 5:39 p.m. Nov. 8 with her 2010 Chevrolet Impala, which was towed afterward.

K-15 south of 300th Rd.

Karyl L. Crowther, 71, Gypsum, hit a deer at 9 a.m. Nov. 9 with her 2017 Honda Pilot.

Diamond Rd. south of 230th Rd.

Eldon R. Kaiser, 67, Lehigh, hit a deer at 10 a.m. Nov. 9 with his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado.

US-77 north of 140th Rd.

A loose right front tire was blamed for Noah E. Slater, 18, Florence, driving his 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt off the road and into an embankment at 8:03 a.m. Nov. 10. The car spun 100 feet into a field and was towed by the owner, who reportedly was injured but was not taken to a hospital.

K-15 north of 210th Rd.

Elizabeth A. Geers, 74, Charlotte, North Carolina, hit a deer at 12:07 p.m. Nov. 10 with her 2010 Honda Accord, which was towed afterward.

Remington Rd. south of 220th Rd.

Wayne A. Rziha, 50, rural Lincolnville, hit a deer at 7:55 p.m. Nov. 10 with his 2011 Ford Edge.

US-50 west of Clover Rd.

Alicia K. Baker, 38, Halstead, hit a deer at 7:33 p.m. Thursday with her 2013 Ford Eclipse, which was towed afterward.
