These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-77 south of 20th Rd.

Marilyn M. Pineda, 21, Junction City, hit a deer with her 2015 Honda Accord at 12:09 a.m. May 9. Kwabeni Osei, 21, and Saige Osei, 1, also of Junction City, were passengers in the Honda. The Honda was towed.

290th Rd. west of Zebulon Rd.

Lori L. Smith, 50, Lincolnville, hit a deer with her 2011Ford Edge at 5:45 a.m. May 14.

US-77 north of 270th Rd.

Equipment failure was blamed when Vanessa T. Wright, 34, Manhattan, lost control of her 2004 Dodge Durango at 5:15 p.m. May 9 and hit a guardrail. Neither Wright nor her passenger, Amiyah L. Wright, 2, reported injury.

US-50 at Bluestem Rd.

No citations were issued after a 2006 Cadillac Deville turned left at 8:30 p.m. May 14 into the path of a 2016 Volvo 740 semi that was attempting to pass.

Deputy Matthew Regier’s report blamed inattentive driving by both drivers.

The Cadillac, owned and driven by David M. Johnson, 60, of Farmington, Missouri, had to be towed. The semi, owned by Bert Baxter Transport Ltd. and driven by Eugene L. Klein, 67, of Estevan, Saskatchewan, was driven away.
