These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Jade Rd. north of 190th Rd.

Ernest J. Dirks, 86, of Hillsboro was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Hillsboro ambulance after he over-steered on wet pavement, lost control, and was thrown from his 1988 Yamaha mo-ped at 3:30 p.m. May 24.

Dirks was ticketed for allegedly having no insurance.

150th Rd. west of Falcon Rd.

Joseph M. Knoll, 18, Hillsboro, hit a deer with his 2010 Dodge Dakota at 9 a.m. May 29.

K-15 north of 240th Rd.

Larry L. Pape, 65, Washington, Kansas, hit a deer with his 2006 Chevrolet Equinox at 11:05 p.m. May 29.

Neither he nor passengers Joan Pape, 65, of the same address and Kyan Aufdengarten, 7, of Wellington reported injury, but his vehicle had to be towed.

Remington Rd. south of 240th Rd.

Heather L. Silhan, 46, rural Marion, hit a deer with her 2016 Honda CR-V at 8:20 p.m. Thursday.

Neither she nor passenger Easton E. W. Babcock, 8, of the same address, reported injury.

Remington Rd. north of 230th Rd.

Emma G. David, 17, rural Tampa, hit a deer at 8:35 p.m. Thursday while driving a 2007 Mercury Milan owned by Scott F. David of the same address.

Hillsboro

200 block of S. Wilson St.

Douglass B. Dick was victim of a hit and run between 8:30 and 8:35 p.m. May 29 in the 200 block of S. Wilson St. Dick’s 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee was legally parked in front of his residence when it was hit in the driver’s door and left-front fender.

400 block of E. Grand Ave.

David L. Ediger, Hillsboro, reported damage to his 2002 Dodge Dakota that occurred 9 a.m. Thursday at a parking lot in the 400 block of E. Grand Ave., but the accident wasn’t reported until 1:40 p.m.
