These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

Limestone Rd. north of 270th Rd.

Virgil McCarty, 57, Tampa, was driving his 2010 Dodge Charger when he noticed black smoke coming out of the dash at 4:07 p.m. May 5. McCarty stopped the Charger, got out, and called 911. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but the car was destroyed and was towed from the scene.

Nighthawk Rd. at 194th Rd.

Alan Peimann, 61, Hillsboro, was making a left turn onto Nighhawk Rd. in a 2006 Freightliner owned by Pleasant Hill Inc. of Hillsboro when the back tires went into a culvert and the trailer landing gear hit the road and high-centered the unit at 3:59 p.m. April 24. The vehicle was not damaged and was driven from the scene.

190th Rd. east of Old Mill Rd.

Carol Wituk, 69, Marion, hit a dog with her 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix at 1 p.m. April 27.

Upland Rd. south of US-256

Alan Utech, 34, Marion, was driving south in his 2006 Toyota Corolla when it left the road to the right, struck a culvert, became airborne, struck another culvert, and came to rest in a field at 9:45 p.m. April 27. Utech was not with the car when officers and emergency responders arrived. Utech was issued citations for leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report damage of property to appropriate parties, and improper driving on laned roadway.

K-256 at 190th Rd.

Deborah Nickel, 64, Peabody, was driving west on 190th Rd. in a 1986 Plymouth Reliant when Ryan Richmond, 29, Marion, driving a 2008 Ford F-250 and towing a disabled vehicle, pulled into the intersection from K-256 at 5:41 p.m. May 5. The Reliant hit the disabled vehicle. Deputy Bronson Shipman issued a citation to Richmond for failure to provide proof of insurance. No injuries were reported. The Reliant was disabled and removed by Nickel.

Kanza Rd. at 130th Rd.

A 1999 Mercedes 32A owned by Schyler Mathies of Hillsboro and driven by an unidentified person was driving north on Kanza Rd. when it went through a T intersection at 130th Rd. and hit a gate and fence owned by Jerry Suderman of Hillsboro at 1:25 p.m. May 3. Deputy Travis Wilson reported that Mathies said that a friend had used the car, but he did not know the name of the friend.
