These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-56 west of Cedar St.

Theodore Turk, 26, Marion, was westbound on US-56 when the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving hit a patch of ice at 12:37 p.m. April 1. The Silverado hit a guardrail and then struck a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Amanda Pontious, 35, Florence, that already had slid off the road. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene.

US-50 west of Nighthawk Rd.

As Calris Daum, 36, Peabody, was pulling onto the highway from the shoulder at 9:28 a.m. March 28, the 1993 Oldsmobile 98 she was driving struck the passenger side of a passing 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Tracy Schmidt, 62, White City. No injuries were reported. Deputy Mike Ottensmeier issued a ticket to Daum for starting a car unsafely. Both vehicles were towed.

US-77 north of 280th Rd.

Colby Venables, 24, Lindsborg, hit a coyote with a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta owned by Loren Dauer, Lindsborg, at 4:30 a.m. April 3. The vehicle was towed.

120th Rd. east of Holly Rd.

Ozzi Orozco, 28, Hillsboro, hit and killed a deer with a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero owned by Jorge Orozco of Hillsboro at 8:18 p.m. April 3.

K-15 south of 220th Rd.

Tyler Dalk, 29, Hillsboro, hit a deer with his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado at 7:10 a.m. April 3. Deputy Mike Ottensmeier issued a citation for improper vehicle registration. The vehicle was towed.

US-77 south of 110th Rd.

Bryan Kimzey, 30, Marion, hit a deer with a 2014 Dodge Avenger owned by Jennifer Wyss, Marion, at 5:30 a.m. April 4. The vehicle was towed.

Kanza Rd. north of 240th Rd.

Deena Kelsey, 50, Hillsboro, hit a deer with her 2011 Chevrolet Malibu at 8:30 p.m. April 4.

Alamo Rd. and NW 108th Rd.

Jayden Stinchcomb, 20, Hesston, was driving a 2003 GMC Envoy south on Alamo Rd. when she drove through the T intersection at NW 108th Rd. and went into the south ditch at 9:20 p.m. April 4. Stinchcomb and a passenger were not injured.

hillsboro

Grand St. at Adams St.

Vicki Fickes, 33, Hillsboro, was stopped on Grand St. at the intersection with Adams St. when her 2016 Mazda CX5 was struck from behind by a 2000 Chevrolet Siverado driven by Chad Arnold, 46, Hillsboro, at 5:54 p.m. April 4. Officer David Funk observed minor damage to both vehicles. No citation was issued, although Funk indicated that inattention on the part of Arnold contributed to the accident.
