These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-56 at Ridge Rd.

Melanie Veatch, 73, Hillsboro, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier when the vehicle struck the trailer of an eastbound semi as she attempted to turn left from Ridge Rd. onto westbound US-56 at 12:20 p.m. March 19. Veatch and two teenage passengers in the Cavalier were not injured, nor was the driver of the semi, Scott Weaver, 53, Topeka. Deputy Mike Ottensmeier issued citations to Weaver for driving with a suspended license and improper turn.

US-77 north of Wagon Wheel Rd.

Jade Lammon, 18, Newton, struck a deer with a 1992 Volvo 240 owned by Jason Miller of Newton at 8:15 p.m. March 21.

Sunflower Rd. south of 170th Rd.

Pamela Krasuski, 46, Newton, struck a deer with her 2014 Chevrolet Siverado at 6:25 a.m. Friday.
