REPORTED

Accident reports released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

290th Rd. west of Remington Rd.

Cameron Spohn, 14, Tampa, was not injured when a 2012 Taotao ATV he was driving, owned by Daniel Spohn of Tampa, was struck by another vehicle at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 17.

Spohn was driving the ATV west on 290th Rd. behind a slow-moving vehicle. According to deputy Derek Calvert’s report, as Spohn leaned left to look around the vehicle, he turned and crossed the center line. An eastbound 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Susan Salamone, 49, Tampa, struck the ATV with the driver’s side front quarter panel, knocking Spohn off the ATV. Calvert reported that following too closely contributed to the accident, but no citations were issued.

Nighthawk Rd. north of 280th Rd.

Katherine Evans, 16, Marion, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet C1500 north on Nighthawk Rd. at 7:05 p.m. Aug. 20 when she swerved to miss three deer that ran into the road. The pickup went into the west ditch and overturned, coming to rest against a tree. Evans was taken by Tampa ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital with possible injuries.

190th Rd. east of Nighthawk Rd.

Justin Siebert, 19, Hillsboro, was driving east in a 1999 Honda Civic owned by Thomas Siebert of Hillsboro when the right front wheel reportedly locked up, pulling the vehicle to the right. According to sergeant Larry Starkey’s report, Siebert overcorrected and the Civic went into the north ditch. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed.
