According to law enforcement reports released Friday and Monday:

US-77 west of US-50

A hit-and-run semi driver clipped the driver’s mirror and front fender of another semi that had stopped on the roadway at 5 p.m. Dec. 29 after its trailer had come loose.

Charles Smith, 49, Phoenix, said he was putting safety triangles behind his trailer when a second westbound semi passed, striking his semi before continuing west.

Smith’s 2016 Volvo semi, owned by Knight Refrigerated of Noblesville, Indiana, sustained only modest damage.

K-15 south of 6th St., Durham

As reported last week, a 29-year-old Hutchinson man was killed at 12:41 p.m. Jan. 8 when his 1990 Geo Prism inexplicably skidded under a crossing guard and hit the lead engine of a Union Pacific train.

Nathan Parson’s car was thrown 75 feet. Alcohol and drug tests were administered, but results were listed as pending.

90th Rd. east of Meridian Rd.

Lenora Duerksen, 59, rural Hillsboro, hit a deer with her 2011 Chevrolet Impala at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 10.

60th Rd. west of Quail Creek Rd.

A deer ran into the path of a 2015 Jeep Patriot driven by Dawn Setzer, 34, Peabody, and was struck at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 13.

K-15 south of 190th Rd.

A 2011 Honda Odyssey driven by Joel Soo Hoo, 40, Hillsboro, was struck by a deer at 6:55 p.m. Jan. 16.

US-50 east of Limestone Rd.

A 2006 Chevrolet C15 driven by Corey Kramer struck a deer at 6 p.m. Jan. 12.

US-77 north of 105th Rd.

A deer ran into the path of a 2010 Subaru Legacy driven by Hannah Siqueiros, 26, Fort Riley, and was struck and killed. Siqueiros was transported by Marion EMS to St. Luke Hospital, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
