While backing out of a driveway Michael Andrews, 21, Desoto, Texas, struck a parked 1998
Dodge R15 pickup owned by James Schafer, Hillsboro, at 10:20 p.m. July 17.

Ashley McMillen, 30, Marion, told Deputy Bronson Shipman that she could not avoid hitting a rock launched into the road by a county mower at 2 p.m. July 20.

Her 1998 Pontiac Grand Am sustained damage to its front but did not require towing. County road and bridge worker Jay Klassen had been moving a ditch at the time.

McMillen reported the accident nearly four hours later. Shipman ticketed her for allegedly having no liability insurance.

190th east of Mustang Rd.

Sally Andrews, 55, Hillsboro, struck a deer with her 2013 Chevrolet Equinox at 7:45 a.m. July 22. The sport utility vehicle sustained damage to its right front and hood but could be driven away.

US-56 east of Diamond Rd.

Olivia Kliewer, 22, Hillsboro, rear-ended a 2009 Pontiac G5 stopped by a flagger in a construction zone at 7:28 a..m. July 19.

Neither she nor the driver of the Pontiac, 28-year-old Alex Brooks of McPherson, was injured.

Both the Pontiac, owned by Jenny Bentley of a different McPherson address, and the car Kliewer was driving, a 2001 Toyota Camry owned by Cheryl Goertzen of Inman, were able to be driven away.

Deputy Derek Fetrow blamed the accident on inattentive driving by Kliewer, but no tickets were reported issued.
