According to accident reports released Friday:

US-56/77 north of 250th Rd.

Taylor Peterson, 17, of Lincolnville was injured when she spun a 2006 Ford Fiesta into a guardrail while attempting to avoid a deer at 1:44 p.m. April 5.

Marion ambulance transported her to St. Luke Hospital. Vehicle owner Troy Peterson of the same address was able to drive the car from the scene.

Cottonwood and 7th Sts. in Florence

A pickup driven by Leslie Allison, 70, and a sedan driven by Hazel Clothier, 94, both of Florence, collided in the intersection at 12:45 p.m. April 9.

Investigator Wilma Mueller said in her report that Allison failed to yield in his 2010 Chevy Silverado and that Clothier failed to be sufficiently attentive in her 2012 Chevy Impala. No tickets were report issued.

Neither driver was reported injured. Both were able to drive from the scene.

Indigo Rd. north of 140th Rd.

Cecilia Berna, 18, of Newton was injured when an apparent tire problem caused a 1993 Toyota Camry she was driving to veer off the roadway and overturn at 8:47 a.m. April 10.

Berna was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital. The car, owned by Sabrina Sullivan of Newton, was towed.

US-56 east of K-256

Doyle Jost, 48, of rural Hillsboro hit one of two deer that ran into the path of his 2008 Ford F-150 at 10:30 a.m. April 13, Mueller reported.

150th Rd. east of K-15

A 2013 Chevy Cruze driven by Carolyn Hamm, 71, of Newton struck and killed a deer at 8:20 p.m. April 13.

Sergeant Larry Starkey reported that Hamm had failed to obey a daylight-only restriction on her license, but his report gave no indication that a citation was issued.

190th Rd. east of Old Mill Rd.

A wild turkey flew from a ditch at 1:17 p.m. Wednesday and smashed the windshield of a 2010 Ford Transit Connect owned by Hoch Publishing and driven by employee Oliver Good, 32, of Marion, whose driver’s license still listed a Lawrence address.
